History.
The history of our grandparents are remembered not with rose petals, but in the laughter and tears of their children, and their children's children. It is into us that the lives of our grandparents have gone. It is in us that their history becomes a future.
"It's funny because you meet these people and they make you laugh and they give you hope and they make you realise there is so much more to life. This is what I've learnt: surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers, the thinkers... but most of all, surround yourself with those who see greatness within you, even if you don't see it in yourself. Years from now, I hope we are still in each other's lives. For now, here's to the nights that turned into mornings with the friends that turned into family."

Treat your mother with the best companionship, then your father; because paradise lies under the mother's feet. Never disobey your parents, nor make them angry, otherwise you will live a miserable life in this world and your children will treat you likewise. Ask your parents gently if you need something. Always thank them if they give it to you, and excuse them if they do not, and never insist on a matter if they refuse to give you something.

Sentimental.
Minus the religious references, I don't know why but this song always takes me back to being a little girl. I remember listening to this song a lot on my iPod during college and always thinking about the relationship me and my Dad have.

In His mercy, He sent the storm Himself to make us seek help. And then knowing that we're likely to get the wrong answer, He gives us a multiple choice exam with only one option to choose from: the correct answer. The hardship itself is ease. By taking away all other hand-holds, all other multiple choice options, He has made the test simple.
It's never easy to stand when the storm hits. And that's exactly the point. By sending the wind, He brings us to our knees: the perfect position to pray.

Circle.
We all need that one old friend in our lives. Where we don't talk for days, for weeks or for months. But every once in a while, they pop up to remind you of the days that have passed and the memories that were created. To remind you of the person you once were and to remind you of the person you now are. To remind you of where you started from and the dreams you're so close to achieving.
Alhamdulillah for the biggest of blessings, disguised in the smallest of things.

I wonder if you can see us, if you can hear us and feel us. I wonder if you know that we're right by your side; praying that Allah [swt] grants you a full recovery and blesses us with your smile and laughter again.
Partially paralysed, yet your hand reaches for your hijab and you cover your head.. over and over again.
Subhan'Allah, may this suffering only mean that your abode in Jannah is of the highest rank.

Little warm touches.
..& in the midst of troubles and hardship, Allah [swt] places angels in our lives as a source of comfort and smiles. 'May our families gather & rejoice in Paradise as we have today.' Ameen. ❤
